The Language of Love

i stumbled upon one video worth sharing on facebook few days ago in which the husband and wife were discussing about the language of love on a talk show. the video is only a good few minutes but i love the input hence i'm gonna share it with you here - minus the video because apparently i suck at technology and i don't know how to share from fb to here without having to search it on youtube.

the husband shares on how he improves on the relationship after he read a book written by Gary Chapman titled The 5 Love Languages (he claimed this is one of his favourite books! HE READS. *lovey dovey eyes emoji*). he said in the early stage of his marriage he finds it difficult to understand his wife, he tried showing his love by touching, hugging, kissing, helping her out however he feels like the wife isn't truly happy. too often we love people the way we want to be loved but that's not always the case because different people give/receive/appreciate love differently. that's when he learned about the love languages.

isn't this guy awesome? that is exactly what we women want from men - EFFORT! (and their understanding, love, attention, compliments, money well frankly, we want everything from them bahahaha!)

so the husband finally understands that their way of giving and receiving love is totally different. to him, physical touch is the way he shows his unconditional love towards his wife but his wife craves for something else - undivided attention and gifts on special occasions.   

basically, there are 5 different languages of love (according to this Mr. Brilliant Chapman):

1) Physical Touch
2) Acts of Service
3) Quality Time
4) Words of Affirmation
5) Receiving Gifts

and none is superior than the other it depends on our own preference, really. and you can do a quiz to test which one is really your language (come on, i understand we feel like each of them is important and we can relate to, but girls, FOCUS! you can't have all at once unless if you are very very lucky, i doubt we ever will be!) you can do the quiz HERE. the utmost important one shall be Quality Time. i love spending time with people whom are very dear to me. i don't really need those fancy PDAs, just as long as you are with me having deep conversation, small talks or simply in the same room whatevs i just need to feel your presence. i'm clingy in a way that i want to see you everyday, talk and do either the most random thing or nothing at all.

and yes the second one will be Words of Affirmation. i like to be constantly reminded that i am loved, that you are missing me, that i am beautiful (even though i did not shower the whole day lololol). compliments do mean something to me, my face may look rather obnoxious but trust me my heart blooms the prettiest flowers when you compliment me (and that doesn't not necessarily mean outer appearance, mind you)

the least language i speak would be physical touch and gifts, i think. i value my personal space so at times i rather be sitting at the end of the couch while you are at another end and holding hands isn't really my thing to be frank because my hands sweat when i'm nervous bahahaha. and i get nervous a lot when it comes to the person i'm in love with. gifts? hmmm let me just put it like this, i rather be receiving money and buying something i like than getting gifts that i don't really fancy. :)

20 Facts About ME

rupanya kat instagram for the past 2 days ala-ala viral semua orang buat 20 facts about me ni dan tag god knows berapa ramai lagi untuk buat benda yang sama. i've been tagged tapi erk malu lah nak buat gitu kat insta siapa lah titewww ini hanyalah semut kecil di hutan belantara. *tetiba* lagipun aku tak reti nak buat list kat insta tup tup kang jadi perenggan berjela terus rasa nak naik angin. ahak ahak. seronok baca orang punya lagi-lagi kalau facts tu something yang kita tak tau or tak sangka coming from that very person.

so here's my 20 facts about my own self (that prolly aren't exciting as others') yang you might not know. (and now you know ecewah)

1) jari kaki manis kiri sama tinggi dengan jari kelingking

used to be bothered dengan jari kaki sendiri because i'm a foot fetish i love observing other people's feet kahkahkah dan tak syok lah tengok kaki sendiri macam cacat. growing up i have always felt a little insecure dengan my feet tapi sekarang ni rasa bersyukur pulak sebab jari kaki belah kanan yang normal tu selalu jeee melecet bila pakai kasut baru, kasut bertutup, heels. kaki kiri relax jeee tak melecet/lambat sikit nak melecet. hehe. oh dan oleh kerana jari kaki seakan cacat, bila potong kuku kaki otometik terus takde kuku kat situ huahuahua hope you get what i mean sebab dah cuba google gambar tapi tak jumpa yang ala-ala sama. so, pedicure is soooo out of my list! ;')

2) i have a generalized anxiety disorder

wow bunyik macam takut kan but it's actually very minor that i don't even consider it as disorder pon. sweaty palms, excessive worries. i worry about a lot of things (walaupun selalu nampak macam tak pernah berfikir ketika bercakap huahuahuaa) it annoys me so much. i hate formal phone calls, i put a lot of thought into making one it's crazy! padahal nak tanya pasal shipment je pon (contohhh!) tapi i need to talk to myself first. sweaty palms, cold hands ni still ada lagi tapi jarang lah unless kalau ada presentation atau tetiba ada orang pegang tangan :') :') :') i iz nebes helppp! dan bila nervous selalunya aku akan cakap dengan sangat laju. bullet train kind of laju, bukan KTM.

3) magnet malang

like seriously okayyy! since sekolah. ok aku bagi contoh time sekolah; jatuh dalam bas sekolah tu macam perkara biasa, biasa sangat sampai tetiap kali naik bas atau turun bas, abang bas tu akan pesan/menyakat. penah terterjun dari bas sekolah time bas tengah jalan sebab ingatkan bas tu dah nak berhenti, pernah turun bas jatuh dan terduduk bersila atas jalan. ITU BARU PASAL BAS. 1st day practical pernah terkunci dalam office semua orang dah balik and aku takde access card. the recent one, time birthday Elda, i was in hurry keluar dari rumah Edel nak masuk kereta, terpijak tahi kucing baru. baru sebab time masuk rumah dia takde pon. -____-' terus buang eh kasut tu sebab dah gosok-gosok kat rumput ingatkan ok, sekali bila tengok macam dah terkena kat tepi kasut tu dah lah kasut jenis kain velvet makanya bye bye dan sadaqallahulazim lah kau. T.T banyak lagi but i don't want you to get scared, haha. so nexttt!

4) this is inappropriate and a bit controversial but.. northern states in peninsular Malaysia/northern people are my least favourite compared to others. haha! SORRY BUT IT CAN'T BE HELPED.

orang-orang kedah, perlis dan penang dah boleh "hang loqlaq hang mai aloq setaq kepala hang aku putaq-putaq" dah kat aku sebenarnya. tapi serius lah, ini memang dari sejak kecik okay. like you guys might hate (strong choice of word, but it's true don't deny) kelantanese, or ada juga yang tak suka johorean atau orang-orang KL even, i kind of skeptical towards people from north! blame it on razak mohaideen's anak mami the movie and all. aku tak boleh dengar loghat utara rasa macam hmm ehm hmmm. aku tak makan kari utara, tak pernah makan nasi kandar, i'm still nasi kandar virgin guys! (nak cubaaa serius nak try tapi belum berkesempatan. what's with all the rave kan? semua orang suka nasi kandar so i need to try!). kawan aku penah cakap "ahhh kau konon tak suka orang kedah taste kau semuaaa muka kedah!" HAHAHA I SAID IT CAN'T BE HELPED! sebenarnya betul, kadang-kadang rasa macam "hmm not bad jugak dia ni" sekali bila dia bercakap tu diaaaaaaa BYE. T.T mak aku relax je cakap "yang kau tak suka tu lah nanti kau dapat, kita tengok jeeee. kau kalau dapat orang kedah memang aku gelak kan kau padan dengan muka" -_____________- thanks mom! tapi tuhan tu adil, yang kau tak suka tu memang kau dapat. contoh; i did my half diploma (half sebab lompat pergi degree terus so sebenarnya takde diploma *nangis*) in Merbok. time aku dapat tau aku dapat sambung diploma dekat kedah, i was like "ayu, helppppp" sebab ayu yang check kan result ahahaha dan sebenarnya memang puas kena gelak dengan dia. dan kawan-kawan baik aku orang utara. -____- Anep Aponds orang sungai lalang kedah dan Fah orang georgetown - diorang punya slang sangat pekat ktengsbai.

5) my undies need to be matched with my attire most of the time. @_@

i feel like i'm conquering the world if my undies are well-matched bahahaha. macam kalau bra warna biru, panties mesti lah biru juga ahak ahak dan rasa happy kalau outerwear pon adalah warna biru. my lecturer once called me miss matching (of course she didn't know i was wearing something matching underneath) because i color coded everything mine. water bottle, file, earrings, shoes. ;) as much as color block is cool trend for years now, i'm still stuck with power rangers kinda fashion. saddd.

6) as much as i love having my friends around, i enjoy being alone just as much. 

While most girls prefer to shop dengan kawan-kawan, i rather do it alone. Aku tak reti. If you happen to see me strolling around all by myself in a shopping mall, don't be surprised - i do it all the time! Hehe. I can eat alone it's nothing embarrasing or awkward to me - but 9 out of 10 girls i know, can't! Ada yang sanggup tak makan oh no why would you that, sisters girls women whyyy?! Kalau yang kurang extreme sikit, diorang akan tapau dan makan kat rumah/bilik. Time belajar dulu, aku tak suka makan kat bilik, rasa macam alahai kesian makan sorang tapi kalau makan luar sorang, takpe. Plus, I love observing people and i can't do that kalau makan dalam bilik. Who should i observe then? Dinding? 

7) i don't get attached easily but when i do, i can't stop! 

This applies not only to people but to almost anything. Contoh movies or drama series. You know most people i know raved about how awesome Guardian of Galaxy movie was? I watched and to me, biasa-biasa je. :/ most movies i watched lately don't impress me that much i wonder why. I love Pirates of Caribbean i can watch them over and over again! Runningman? Oh my god you have no idea. Friends, The Vampire Diaries. 

8) a little adventurous (i love amusement parks, roller coasters but not and NEVER bungee jumping ahahaha) however i can't handle scary movies dan rumah hantu. :'(

9) i'm afraid of cats and any pets, animals, insects (not just scared i HATE them!) 

"Badan je besar tapi takut kucing" i get that a lot, like a lot a lotttt! Lebih baik kau diam sebab selain takut kucing kalau tuan dia annoying i can be mean to their pets too - tak dapat terajang tuan dia, terajang kucing dia pon jadik dan sebab geli, terajang kena pakai kasut dulu. (I didn't do that anymore i swearrrrr!) 

10) i don't get insecure/low self esteem/envious being around pretty girls, but taller girls get me all the time. 

11) i have a thing for guys with facial hair and those named Syed (i'm so gonna name my kids Syed and Sharifah ahahaha every girl has their kids' names all laid out since they're 16 i'm not a freak!)

12) i want to get married at 27 because you know uh my favourite numbers are 2 and 7. So mature of me! Or 2nd July 2027 sounded more ahem achievable, i dunno as long as i get 2 and 7 anywhere. Hantaran RM 2727 pon xpeeee. Hahahaha!

13) sweet little gestures get me all the time. Like cute morning texts and long thoughtful birthday wishes. I love love love that! 

14) i hate when people mispronounce or misspell my name - biggest pet peeve. Well now you know how to annoy me. 1 lagi, cakap slang utara (especially coming from people who don't speak utagha hehe), oh dan lagu Kehilangan - Firman - geliiiii nak matiii. 

15) Travelling around the world sounds fancy - not sure if i can ever do that but my must go place before i die is Spain. I want to visit Alhambra so baddd! 

16) i get bored oh so easily i wonder how can i keep a blog for 5 years. (I'm already bored doing this, 20 is too many!) 

17) my favourite flower is calla lily! 

18) i never wear a ring (because i want it to be special. My first ring shall be my engagement ring hahahaha) LAME and CORNY, I know.

19) i am the most uncompetitive person i've ever known! You guys can have a higher cgpa, bigger salary, fancier car - i'll just congratulate you and move on with life. Hahaha. Definitely not a good trait of mine! 

20) people ask me why am i still single like freaking all the time. Let me tell you this once and for all - the ones i like are either married, taken or so out of my league. Hehe. Ok fine. Ada 1 lagi top secret, i kinda attract more of married guys and other women's boyfriends than single guys it's ducking dogging pigging weird BOOM DIVA AA DAH PECAH RAHSIA CHU OLZZZ MELETOPZ KAU SEMUA BOLEH MASUK NERAKA AKU SORANG JE MASUK SYORGA! *tetiba* 

Heyyy penat lah taip guna talipon!
