The Mischievous Ones
Often the ones you thought of never going to settle down early are the ones who get married first.
i was a little bumped when i first learned that one of my high school friends slash the one i was close with who later became my best friend's boyfriend is getting married last month - not to my best friend, though (thought you might need to know. hehe). i know him as a mischievous young guy who was playful and never serious in anything. we got close when i was 15 (he was 16, then). we texted each other every single night till wee hours. yes, every damn night. it was like tiga penjuru kinda text with me, him and my best friend. back then, there was no whatsapp, bbm and the likes. you had to actually text them where you got this after 12 am, the 1000 text messages free to your activ5 maxis with RM1 credit DO YOU REMEMBER?! haha. seriously we were texting craps most of the times whereby everything he texted me, i told my best friend and she returned the same favour. it's funny now but was so much fun at that time.
he used to play dirty tricks at school like shoving a stuffed black rat under my nose during school recess (i was a prefect so i didn't get to eat when they're eating) and witnessed my top of my lung's scream it's not pretty, guys! on his last day of school after SPM, he stole papan tanda tandas lelaki - just because and hanged it on the wall of his bedroom. -______-' matangnyeeeeee! my best friend and i addressed him Cipan in a text because apparently he has a very sophisticated name that starts with 'D' which we think didn't suit his personality that he later found out by mistake (i mistakenly sent a text to him that originally meant for my best friend.. IT'S FUNNY!) and he coolly replied me with "kenapa cipan? aku suka mawas. panggil aku mawas. cipan tak comel.." HAHA.
well, fast forward to 11 years later - he is now someone's husband!!! i actually went to his wedding reception (yes, with my best friend cum his ex. hakhak. they ended it all in a good term. they're still texting each other every now and then anyway. ;) )
so that is one.
another one (the one that made me decide to write this post), is another friend of mine (that later, turned to be my fling i'll tell you shortly). earlier today i scrolled my instagram where i stumbled across one picture. a picture of him in baju melayu and tanjak and that, my dear friend - caught me by a whole lot surprise because trust me when we were in contact (we lost contact for hmm say, 1 year?), he was nowhere near maturity! he wasn't looking for something serious and his relationship was more like a relationshit (i know because i was his two-timed girl, haha). so when i found out, i got soooo surprised in a happy way, of course! it's good to know that he's found the one! hehe. too bad, i wasn't invited. pftttt. ;) kuajaqqq pondan! *tetiba*
well obviously he couldn't invite me (let's just pretend he's going to, but couldn't), we lost contact for about 1 year now. i changed my number and moved on with life. ecewah bunyik macam bawak diri but noooo it's just how it should be. when i said "fling" it's not all about romantic interest it's more like i was the one he turned to when he's miserable and no not the friend kinda way, that's for sure. we never had feelings for each other, i just kinda layan him because ahem it felt good to play around sometimes and i guess i kinda fun to be around especially when you're miserable and lost? maybe. i don't know.
but my point is,
why is it always the ones we least expected that get to get married first than the ones who have been together forever?!
yelah tau lah kerja tuhan.
saje je nak feeling rhetorical sikit.
hewhewhew.
