Pimples be gone

let me share with you my pimple story.

back in high school, i was one of the unlucky girls who got stuck with most teenagers' best friend, pimples. i couldn't remember when exactly it happened but i remembered it got a lot worse when i was in form 4 that my mom decided to bring me to a doctor. i was prescribed with green pills (i swear it's so good but i failed to remember its name), cetaphil (the infamous facial cleanser - hollywood celebrities swear by it!) and a Differin gel to to put on the affected area. in less than 4 months, i got rid of my pimples almost completely!

so basically after i finished my school, pimples aren't really my concern. yes, i did get them once in a while but it's pretty normal - during the time of the month, when i get insufficient sleep or when the exam time is around the corner. i handled all those very well - by ignoring them. i never had a proper skincare regime fyi.

but lately i noticed that pimples find my face an interesting place to live and breed (rudeee!), i couldn't care for less at first - i thought it was just another pimple it will get away soon but my oh my was i wrong. it all started in June this year and it worsened up till these past few days that i feel i shouldn't ignore it no more. so i took charge by posting a status on facebook asking my friends how to get rid of pimples! haha. lots of suggestions and i'm sharing it with you people because.. kejelitaan adalah hak milik setiap insan!

1) Dalacin T

suggested by Nab. i googled this solution and it seemed that it kinda work on almost everybody. but please bear in mind, this is for treating pimples and acnes - not their scars.

2) Epiduo

suggested by Nana. she claimed that the doctor she sought for an acne problem gave her this. well, anything that prescribed by a doctor, i gotta believe it's good!

3) Differin

suggested by Moi. i used this before and it worked oh so well on me! also, prescribed by a doctor.

and if you people ever thought of trying those above, please know that it should be combined with a very mild and gentle cleanser such as..

Cetaphil.

i don't like how it felt on my skin at first, but come on - if i ever think of having something i like on my face - that would be something edible like ayam goreng or strawberries you know where you can just simply lick while cleansing your face. haha. but seriously guys, this cleanser is like no other cleanser. it doesn't form a foam (i like foams!), it doesn't smell nice (it has no smell in fact) and it feels like you just put water on your face - nothing else. but it's gooooood. did i tell you many hollywood celebrities are using this too? charlize theron, natalie portman, olivia wilde, fasheeha (used to!) - to name a few. hehe.

okay back to my problem.

i think hard of what could be the culprit to my acne problem and i come to conclude that these might be the causes;

1) my not so new but still new foundation.

i think ever since i start using it, my skin acting up like crazy. i kinda love my foundation i spent quite a good money on her (hahaha her!), though it's a love-hate relationship (love the texture love the brand love how it feels like i don't wear anything on my face) but i think its finishing isn't up to my expectation (my colleagues and few friends think i look flawless in it though.. haih dilemma)

2) but it could be.. the make up brushes

maybe it's not my foundation or my blushes or my loose powder but it's my BRUSHES. should i stick with sponges instead? because brushes are hardwork, my friend. you gotta clean it every time you done with your make up, you gotta wash them once in a week! nobody got time for that! i cleaned it once a month or when i feel like cleaning it hahaha. okay i hahahaha here but i cry inside.

3) i skipped make up removing regime every single time.

you know when you get back from lepaking at wee hours and all you could think of is sleep? that kinda happen to me every other night. i sometimes sleep with my red lipstick on! but to my defense, i'm doing this since uni times and i don't get much breakouts pun before! why now? whyyy?!

4) my eating and sleeping pattern

i love fried food. anything fried and fattening. ayam goreng, cempedak goreng. and i sleep at my own convenient time - sometimes at 1am some other time at 4am, always at 2am.

now that i listed all the might-be-causes, i believe it's nothing but a very bad habit of mine. padan lah dengan muka jerawat naik bertimpa-timpa. so my dear, it's a lesson learnt not only to me but to you. don't take it lightly when it comes to your skin. i learned the hard way.  *nangis*

oh by the way, i bought Dalacin T last few days! (the journey of me looking for this is so dramatic 5 pharmacies in less than 24 hours you bet? haha! i'll save it to myself thanks) i initially wanted to give an Epiduo a try, too bad it's only available upon pre-order and it takes 2 weeks to deliver to the pharmacy pfttt. my pimples can't wait that long! i asked for Differin but the pharmacist said it's too strong for someone who has the-not-so-bad acne. or in other words, she was saying that my pimples are barely there - only few red spots! whatever okay, red spots are annoying i need to get rid of them pronto! hehe. i even asked for acne scar cream (i'd love to get rid of them too i know i will be having them soon haha), but the pharmacist just rolled her eyes. but she did suggest me supplement to combat acne from within. i might wanna buy it later. it's called..

Bio-Zinc from Blackmores!

according to the pharmacist, this is a good supplement for acne prone skin. it clears out not only pimples on the face but also on the back - if you have any. it also can fight hair loss (lack of vitamin A can cause hair loss, i learn) and brittle nails. I AM SOLD. apparently my hair doesn't really love me anymore, guys!

so so so many health related problem nowadays i wonder what is really wrong with me! hehe.

take care of your good health.

i'll be sharing with you a story of how i almost lost my feet (i exaggerate! but it's true) to a stupid -trying-to-get-a-flawless-skin-by-steaming-my-face-using-hot-boiled-water soon!

*cries*

you can get it in almost any pharmacy.
guardian, watsons, caring.
but it's a controlled medication so you can only purchase it when the pharmacist is around.
